IF YOU’RE

a freelance editor or writer (or translator or indexer)

YOU NEED

a website that connects you to ideal clients

I’ve been a communications professional for more than twenty years—and a freelancer for a lot of that time. I’ve freelanced as a side gig and as a main hustle. I’ve also been a managing editor who hires freelancers: editors, writers, translators, indexers, and designers.

And I will tell you this: People take us more seriously as businesses when we have our own domain with our own website and our own email address.

LinkedIn is great—but what if you had your own space, designed to match your own style? Maybe with a blog where you can tell people what you’re working on, or what you think about this year’s Word of the Year?

Scroll down to find an option that meets your needs!

Option 1: Template Build

Have you perused the Squarespace site? Did you find a template you like—but you don’t have the time or interest to learn how to make it yours?

This website option means you tell me what template you like. We go through a standard process to learn about your style and vision for your site. And then I build the site for you in the Squarespace template.

This option has minimal custom coding and is intended to get you up and running fast, at the lowest cost. Works great with the Squarespace Personal plan.

Option starts at $500 for up to 5 pages in a standard template. Blog and store setup is extra.

Option 2: Three-Page Mini Site

So you want something more customized, but you don’t need a big site. Maybe just a Home page, an About page, and a Portfolio?

We’ll go through a standard process to learn about your style and vision. Then I’ll build you a 3-page mini-site in Squarespace.

This option has more coding but can still get you up and running fast. Works fine with the Squarespace Personal plan and is great for the Squarespace Business plan.

Option starts at $1,000 for 3 custom-built pages. Blog and store setup is extra.

Option 3: Full Custom Build

You have big plans and a big vision! A robust, custom-built Squarespace site is for you!

We’ll go through a standard process to learn about your style and vision. Then I’ll build you a custom website in Squarespace. Depending on your needs, we can set it up so you can take over maintaining it, or I can help you with ongoing site updates.

This option has the most custom coding and can take a couple months to build. Works fine with the Squarespace Personal plan (with more limitations on coding), but works best with the Squarespace Business and Commerce plans.

Option starts at $2,000 for up to 5 custom-built pages. Blog and store setup is extra.
